in CPG 5301–411 Geerard catalogues 111 letters from various sources;
the incipit of ep. 1, Ἀφίκοντο μέν τινες, leads to the series
of letters in Latin cited from two collections C (Casinensis) and T
(Turonensis), each represented by more than one copy, reflecting a Latin
record of the Council of Ephesus, ed. E. Schwartz, Acta concilorum
oecumenicorum 1/3 (Berlin 1929), 3–16 (ep. 1), &c., continuing ib. 1/4
(Berlin 1922–3). Schwartz, ib. 1/4/2. v–xvi, identifies this collection with
the Synodicum of Rusticus diaconus, nephew of Pope Vigilius, compiled at
Constantinople in the 560s. No English copies known.
