Notes on evidence: | According to the Gesta abbatum S. Albani, at the time of Abbot Geoffrey (1119–46) was produced 'unum psalterium pretiosum totum similiter auro illuminatum'. The description is thought to fit to this book, in which each psalm, canticle and collect begins with an initial in burnished gold. |
