'Liber [vicarii] de [chirit'']' (fol. [i] recto). Inscription is almost certain, by comparison with Lambeth 218 pt. 1; the entry in the catalogue for this latter book states 'vnus liber deficit vicarius Chirit'' (A16.217); Cherington was a priory manor in east Gloucestershire.
