Notes on evidence: | Flyleaves of this bursars' account book for the years 1583–99 are four folios from a 14th-cent. English copy of Iacobus de Voragine's Legenda aurea (containing parts of the Lives of St Clement I and St Catharine).There may be a presumption that the scrap for these flyleaves was sourced locally, and indeed may well belong to the copy given to the library by the fellow Nicholas North (d. 1445) and reported in the inventory in the Liber Albus, fol. 34v. |
