'Iste liber constat sancte marie de Welbe[k]. Si quis hunc librum a predicta Abathi[a] Alienaverit anatema sit. amen. Et scriptus erat Anno domini millesimo ccccmo xxxmo secundo.' (fol. 163v, now fol. 126v).

Above the name of the abbey has been written – also in the 15th century: 'Domino Roberto Prestwold' (MRJ Cat., p. 306). The book is no. 109 in the Handlist of Engl. MSS. (1928), q. v.
