Notes on evidence:

On fol. 1r in middle, and at the end: 'Ex dono Magistri Iohannis Steyke et pro quibus tenetur'. It carries no other marks of Syon ownership but may well be the copy entered at P.70 in Betson's catalogue, where it occurs among other books given to the abbey by John Steyke. The same style of ownership inscription is found in other books given by him to Syon.
