BL MSS Add. 34652 fol. 2 + Cotton Otho B.x fols. 55, 58 & 62 were part of Cotton Otho B.xi. Before the Cotton fire of 1731 the book bore the ex libris of Southwick; only the latter part of this inscription is now visible. Seen at Southwick by Leland.

The Bede is in the same script as the Parker Chronicle (Cambridge, Corpus Christi College, 173) for the years 924–55, which was at Winchester. The Chronicle is a copy of the Parker Chronicle to the year 1001.
