Notes on evidence:

Cambridge, Emmanuel College, MS 35, Trinity College, MS 345, and the Hilton in Philadelphia contain notes in the hand of James Grenehalgh (professed 1495). Grenehalgh also annotated Bodl. MS Douce 262 (see under London, Charterhouse), BL MS Royal 5 A. v (see under Coventry, Charterhouse) and his monogram is in BL MSS Add. 24461 and 37790 and probably Harley 2373 (see under Mount Grace).

Colophon says: 'Scriptum quidem est hoc opus per Beuet quondam procuratorem in Carthusia de Schen super Tamisiam Quod Grenehalgh eiusdem domus professus indigna manu sua In festo Reliquiarum fe. 6a. sero 1499.', cf. H. E. Allen, Writings ascr. to R. Rolle, p. 216.
