Notes on evidence: | Notes connect the book with the Carmelites and in particular the Norwich convent: (fol. 191v) "Orate pro anima [...] Thome Bradley quondam anachorit' in Conuentu fratrum Carmelitarum norwic'", and on fol. 166v: "Doctor waterpytte [Th. Waterpytte, prior c. 1486–1491] dedit Ricardo Cakure istum librum". Later inscriptions seem to relate to the cathedral priory: (fol. 69r) "Iste codex pertinet ad me D. Georgium Canky [?] monacum Norwycensis ad me Dompne George iste liber pertinet." |
