| Notes on evidence: | (fol. 230r) "Hic liber est ecclesie sancte Marie et sancti Thome martyris [?] de ... quem qui furto ...". The form of the inscr. shows that the MS. is from the Aug. priory of Newark, Surrey (de novo loco); cf. Bodleain Library, Auct. D.inf.2.10 and Balliol 85 both of which have the ex-libris inscr. "Hic liber est ecclesie sancte marie et beati Thome martyris de nouo loco quem qui furto abstulerit vel sine conscientia eiusdem ecclesie conventus quocumque modo alienauerit sit anathema maranatha Amen." |
