Notes on evidence: | Historical collections mainly by and in the hand of Arnald Thedmar (d. 1274), alderman of London. Generally known as 'Liber de Antiquis Legibus', but a 15th-cent. note inside its front cover states, 'Iste liber intitulatur de aqua Tamisie'; it is so-called in the list of books in the custody of the Corporation, c. 1470.
