Notes on evidence: | The nine Royal manuscripts belonged to Cranmer. 3 B.xvi is probably in the same hand as 6 C.xi. The marginalia in 5 D. iv, 5 D.v, 5 D.vi, and perhaps 5 D.vii are in the same hand as marginalia in 6 C.xi. 5 B.ii resembles 6 B.i in script and decoration. At end (fol. 123r): 'Iohannes Dunster ob'. Dunster prauus. Iohannes Salisbury i d. Salisbury nunquam vigil.' John Salisbury was sub-almoner in 1447 (Reg. Bekyngton, ii. 435); John Dunster was precentor in 1458 (Reg. Bekyngton, i. 309).
