Cyrlew abbot of Langley (elected 1500, his successor elected 1503) and commissary of the abbot of Prémontré that he appoints .N. as his proctor. 2) Memorandum that George Gaye was killed by lightning 13 July 1516 as he was riding home "de gildo apud thyrleton" [Thurlton, 4 miles south-east of Langley].

"Liber Cuthberti Shyrbrooke rectoris [...] de Rocklande [...] infra decan[...] de Broke nor' dioc' 1537", cancelled, but partly legible, on verso of last leaf of text. Rockland is 3 miles west of Langley.
