| Notes on evidence: | "Dominus Johannes Smyth monachus á Kynloss qui hunc librum scripsit ... anno domini 1557 et [?] 17 decembris etatis vero sue 65 atque sepultus prope utrumque parentem ante ostium sacelle sanctorum laurentii et bernardi ubi ipse vivens sacrificare solebat" (fol. 60v). Fols. 44r–60v contain a chronicle mainly of Scottish affairs with special reference in the latter part to Kinloss. The obits of John Smith (1542) and Joneta Dawry his wife (1544) are entered. |
