The manuscript is a composite volume of three parts united by the binder known as Williamson, who was at work at Eton at the start of the 17th cent.

This part of the volume, like MS 26, formerly belonged to Belvoir priory, a cell of St Albans (q.v.), and may have made its way to Eton from St Albans, like MS 103.
