'D [enclosing:] 4 : VII : Vita sancti Dunstani .... Regnante magnifico .... 81 . . . 4..', s. xiv (foot of fol. 2r): 'D4 VII' is the distinctio and gradus; 'Vita sancti Dunstani' is the first item in the volume; 'regnante magnifico' are the first words of fol. 2r; '81' is the number of leaves; and '4' is the number of works in the volume.

' ... is written in the Christ Church hand of the twelfth centuury, and has, besides, a mark on the upper corner of its first leaf [cf. Digby 13] which shows that it must once have stood on the Christ Church shelves' (James, ALCD, p. xciii) = no. 167 in the Dover catalogue (James, ALCD, p. 421). Not in Christ Church catalogues.
